Big Lots has loads of good stuff going on, if you look carefully.
I love Big Lots. I just found those vaccuum bags for storage there (the kind you put your stuff in...bedding or clothing...and then suck all the air out). Of course, I have no money in the budget this week for them. But they also have over-the-door organizers that I just got in an effort to rid outselves of more furniture. I sort of figure if I get one for each door in the house, that's that much less stuff that has to be in drawers, baskets, bins, shelves...none of which has nada to do with food and cooking and eating except that I go to Big Lots every Monday and many Thursdays since Short One's practices are at Kenwood.
Yes, the lower sugar version of Frosted Flakes are only 2.50 there. Debbie, this may work for your family, as they fill the "sugared cereal" needs of DH, and have only 8 grams of sugar, with no artificial sweeteners. DH and DS can't tell the difference. Grrrreat!
I bought a case of the Kraft at Meijer when it was buy 1 get 2 free (.33/box) I trade out the crappy noodles it comes with for the whole grain, with omega 3-type. I can get about 3 batches from an 1.50 box of pasta. Somehow this makes me feel better about it.
